About forever family rescue
Our mission is to help homeless animals find loving, permanent homes where they can live out their lives with the comfort and security of a forever family. Working together with public shelters, volunteers, and rescue organizations – we raise awareness for animal rescue and work to create a world where every animal is given a chance to find a home and live a happy life. Forever Family was created in partnership with To The Rescue – a nationally syndicated feelgood television series that documents heartwarming stories of rescue dogs and the tenacious people that are doing the rescuing.
Tommy Habeeb, founder
Habeeb is an award winning producer, actor, speaker, and sports journalist who altered the landscape of television with the breakthrough reality series Cheaters. He has hosted the PCALA telethons with Betty White and won three Telly awards. Habeeb spent time racing professionally in motorcycle flat track series, competing in cutting horse futurity events, and became a WTSA Hall of Famer. He currently serves on advisory panels to several charitable foundations and his speaking series includes stories and insight from the world of television, celebrity, and entertainment. Habeeb’s passion for dogs gave rise to the television series To The Rescue which has brought awareness and funding to animal welfare. The nationally- acclaimed show was recently honored with two Telly Awards.
Veteran relief efforts
Often times, Veterans can face difficult transitions back to civilian life, as well as uncertain futures with new disabilities. Service dogs can empower veterans to regain physical independence, pride and hope. Beyond much-needed physical assistance, the love, loyalty and positivity of a canine partner can make a profound, lasting impact on someone dealing with difficult emotions that are hard to communicate.
Forever Family Rescue Foundation’s mission is to wipe out kill shelters across the country by ensuring that any Veteran or First Responder suffering from PTSD and has the need of a service or companion dog will never be without. The current programs include a partnership with Veteran approved rehabilitation facilities where the clients in the program will work to rehabilitate animals while the rescue dogs will help heal the Veterans and First Responders.
